Apps I've built

Apps that mind their own business. Not yours.

Privacy-first software, built by one developer. No accounts where I can avoid them, no tracking, no monthly drip — just focused tools that solve a real problem and then get out of your way.

Privacy-first

No accounts where I can avoid them. Local-only processing. Zero telemetry. Your data never leaves your device unless you tell it to.

No-subscription-by-default

Everything I ship is either free, open source, or a one-time purchase. No monthly drip. No forced upgrades. Pay once, use forever.

Native & offline-capable

Built on the real platform, not bloated web wrappers. Works when the network doesn't. Fast, small, and respectful of your machine.

For people who ship

Opinionated tools for people who take their craft seriously. No dark patterns, no growth hacks, no "we value your privacy" emails.

The full set

Seven apps across macOS, mobile, web, and the browser. Each one solves a real problem I hit myself — and ships with the same values.

Built in Germany. Shipped for people who take work seriously.

These apps are a one-person operation run by Kapisch, based in Germany. Every one exists because I hit the problem myself and couldn't find software that respected my time, my privacy, and my wallet at the same time.

I ship under EU law (GDPR-native), I don't sell data, I don't do growth hacks, and I don't run monthly subscription farms. I build tools I'd pay for myself — then I use them every day.

Frequently asked

Who builds these apps?

Kapisch — an independent developer operating out of Germany. Tokens 4 Breakfast, Mac 4 Breakfast, Lumel, SkyLocation, TankAlert, Life Hacks Germany, and Unfold AI are all built and maintained by the same person, which is why they share one philosophy on privacy, pricing, and UX.

Why are most of these free or one-time purchase?

Because I use these tools myself, and I got tired of being billed monthly for software I already paid for once. Free where I can afford it (Unfold AI, the web apps); a small one-time price where there is real ongoing maintenance (Tokens 4 Breakfast, Mac 4 Breakfast, Lumel, SkyLocation Pro). Never a subscription trap.

Are these apps connected to each other?

They share values, not data. Each app runs independently — no cross-app account, no shared telemetry. The only connection is the person behind them and a consistent stance: privacy-first, offline-capable where it matters, and respectful of your time.

Which app should I start with?

On a Mac that you use for AI work, Tokens 4 Breakfast shows what your AI stack actually costs you. On any Mac, Mac 4 Breakfast and Lumel are quick wins for battery and brightness. Traveling? SkyLocation. In Germany? TankAlert for fuel and Life Hacks Germany for everything bureaucratic.
